We take the health and safety of our guests, as well as that of our team members, very seriously. Rest assured we have always had a very stringent cleaning process. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 we've incorporated a new additional safety measure in our multi-step cleaning process with the use of an EPA approved ozone generator* after each guest checks out

*Ozone is a powerful sterilizer. When odors, bacteria, viruses meet ozone, oxidation reactions occur and both parties are destroyed. Our ozone generators are used after a guest checks out and are handled by our trained staff. After the ozone generator finishes its timed cycle all windows and doors are opened to fully ventilate the treehouse.

We’ve created the following guidelines based on recommendations for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), recommendations from the State of Ohio, and the Hocking County Health Department.

  • Employees are covered with sick pay

  • Sick employees will not report to work until they are fever-free without medication for 72-hours

  • Employees are monitored for healthy body temperatures daily

  • Employees are provided with CDC recommended PPE including masks and disposable gloves

  • Employees change into uniform at the start of each shift and change out of their uniform at the end of shift

  • Employees shall follow frequent proper handwashing procedures

  • Employees shall follow six feet of social distancing

  • Employees shall sanitize work vehicles between each use

  • All treehouses are ventilated thoroughly during the cleaning process

  • The cleaning crew has been trained on the operation of an EPA approved ozone generator for use in each treehouse after guests have checked out.

  • The cleaning crew wash hands thoroughly  before and after each cleaning

  • The cleaning crew wear disposable gloves while they clean

  • The cleaning crew has a structured process that begins with cleaning the treehouse, followed by disinfecting

  • Disinfectants are EPA approved

  • Special attention to doorknobs, light switches, remotes, faucets

  • The vacuum is emptied after every cleaning

  • HVAC filter is cleaned between guests

  • Guests place dirty linens in washable laundry bags at the end of their stay

  • All linens are washed in the hottest appropriate water setting and dried completely

  • Hot tubs are always drained, cleaned, sterilized, and refilled between guests

  • Hand soap, dish soap, body soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in each treehouse. Hand sanitizer will be available, provided the product is available

  • Outdoor furniture and grills will be wiped down

The Hocking County Health Department strongly encourages all visitors (and residents) to wear facial coverings when out in public, as well as to continue to frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, continue with social distancing, and cover your cough and sneeze.

Every effort is being made to provide our guests with a safe and relaxing environment. If you have a concern during your stay please contact us at (614) 599-1899. We look forward to welcoming you to the trees where you can relax - and get away from the crazy - and breathe easy in nature.
